The The Other, the Same

Abstract

With the theme “There is always a cup of sea to sail in”, Sao Paulo’s 29th Art Biennial incorporated six “terreiros” (spaces that refer to informal spaces where Brazilians may ritualize their hybrid religions or believes) - or “patios” for watching events and resting throughout Ibirapuera Pavilion. Invited by the curators Moacir dos Anjos and Agnaldo Farias, the author presents here his participation at the terreiro, “The Other, the Same”, an arena for dance events, theater and music that can be rearranged in different ways.
