Artigas, a poetry reader

Abstract

This article was based on the presentation at the round table 100 years of Vilanova Artigas: new researches, organized by the School of Architecture, of the USJT on 17 September 2015. It is mainly a revision which raises the major issues discussed in the masterwork, “The lathing of the weft- architecture as inter-languages: a semiotic reading of the work of Vilanova Artigas,” presented in 1997 at FAUUSP. The genesis of the research was planted by the response given by the architect to a question about “the aesthetic influences that marked his work “in an interview in 1984.
