This article exposes the main concepts, findings and conclusions developed along the doctoral thesis “Public architecture: between bureaucracy and discipline. National and Province interventions in Santa Fe territory during the long thirties”, which objective was to generate a theoretical and methodological background for the corpus of study, enabling renewed analysis and considerations regarding the material manifestations of Modern State public policies. Its major contributions arise from the study of the state offices that were in charge of the design of public architecture, which have never been systematically addressed in Argentina.
