RECOVERY OF PUBLIC SPACE IN THE CITY OF ROSARIO, ARGENTINA
Keywords:
urbanismo, reconversión, planificación, espacio públicoAbstract
This paper analyzes the strategy that made it possible for the urban recovery of the Argentinean city of Rosario, third most populous city in the country, through a plan currently underway, which mainly took the opportunity to represent the existence of large vacant coastal land by the Parana River, abandoned since the dismantling of the national rail network in the 1970s. The great success of the policies of planning and management used in order to realize its realization is reflected today in a transformation that includes the city as a whole.
