The Centre for Latin American Architecture Documentation, founded in 1995 in Buenos Aires, holds one of the archives focused on the pro-
duction of architecture on this side of the world most carefully assembled and kept. Beyond its value as a cultural asset, its distinctive feature lies in its being the basis of a research work that brings along specific knowledge on architectural evolution in the XXth century XX to the general public, through exhibitions and publications, as well as to the academic world. The CEDODAL includes in its archive plans, maps and other drawings from the late eighteenth to the twentyfirst century, as well as photographs and files, and is supplemented with a library with books and periodicals on architecture, urbanism, his-
tory and art, focused on Latin America, with over 45,000 volumes.
