Making luminous object: an experience in exploration of form and space in architecture
Keywords:
Three-dimensional, expression, Space, Luminous objectAbstract
This paper reports an experiment that aimed to elaborate a luminous object in order to explore the spatial form through three-dimensional modeling and the light emitted by the same. The subjects used as a visual reference for the students understood the concepts learned Origami and the Concrete Art. The result was a positive experience, allowing the student to realize through experimentation, the relationship between the appearance of the object in space and the result that the light emitted by it provoked. The teache showed that the act of making three-dimensional model, allowed the student a significant experience applying concepts of visual composition and spatial form in a creative and plastic. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that such activity has established dialogues between different means of expression that the architect can draw to represent an idea: hand drawing, with the aid of instruments, with the aid of the computer and through the volumetric model.
