Abstract

Analysis and review of the book "Arquitetura e Realidade", written by Patrícia Pereira Martins and released by the publisher Altamira, which was selected as a finalist for the Jabuti Prize 2024. The book addresses theoretical aspects linked to the modern and contemporary history of Western Architecture, focusing mainly in European and North American production, but with an approach that considers the Latin American perspective on these processes.

Docente e coordenador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo, Universidade São Judas Tadeu. Bolsista do Instituto nima. Doutor Arquiteto (UPMadrid, 1992); Magister em Estética e Teoria de las Artes (Instituto de Estética y Teoría de las Artes de Madrid, 1990); Técnico Urbanista (NAP, Madrid, 1988) e Arquiteto (UNBuenos Aires, 1979).
